Our Mission

The mission of Leadership Northeast is to develop informed and committed leaders from all segments of the community who will serve, strengthen and improve Northeastern Pennsylvania. Hundreds of people connect with LNE every year through our six Leadership programs, community impact project initiatives and active alumni network. There are multiple entry points into the organization offering varying degrees of opportunity to explore your potential, widen your sphere of influence, engage in authentic relationships with other leaders, and ultimately impact the quality of life in our region.

Our Programs

Core Program

Designed for adult professionals to develop leadership skills, become more involved within our community, and build connections through networking events.

Impact: Leadership in Education

Brings together the region’s education professionals for a series of interactive sessions designed to empower teachers to be progressive agents of positive change within schools.

Junior Leadership Program

Community based leadership program for high school juniors who learn leadership development, community awareness and meet with area leaders in business, government and Education.

Executive Leadership

A community orientation program for professionals who have recently moved to the area or those who want to be reacquainted with the community.

Intercollegiate Leadership

Students from six local universities collaborate to develop leadership skills, discuss regional issues and create connections for future professional opportunities.

Amplify: Women's Leadership Certificate Program

A premier women’s leadership certificate program offering cutting-edge leadership development, high-level networking opportunities, and a dynamic series of speakers who will address the unique needs of women in the workforce.


Jessica Cronauer Promoted to Executive Director of Leadership Northeast

The Leadership Northeast (LNE) Board of Directors announces the promotion of Jessica Cronauer to Executive Director effective Friday, July 15th.

Junior Leadership Northeast Receives Donation from PSEA

The Junior Leadership Northeast program recently received a $2,500 donation from the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA). The donation will be used to enhance leadership training and provide assistance to participants in the form of assistance and waivers of application fees.

Reflecting on Decades of Service

Lori Nocito’s name is no stranger to Greater Pittston and Wyoming Valley. In the Pittston Area, she was the chair for the annual Pittston Tomato Festival for 22 years and for the last 19 years, she’s been at the helm of Leadership Northeast (LNE). Nocito has announced her retirement effective on July 15.

Junior Leadership Northeast Class of 2022 Graduates

The next crop of future leaders took the stage at the F.M. Kirby Center to be honored for the work they’ve put in over the last year, as the Junior Leadership Northeast Class of 2022 officially graduated from the program on Wednesday evening.
