Stacey Kile on Thursday was presented the 2022 Leadership Northeast Distinguished Leadership Alumni Award at the organization’s annual graduation dinner at The Woodlands.

Lori Nocito’s name is no stranger to Greater Pittston and Wyoming Valley. In the Pittston Area, she was the chair for the annual Pittston Tomato Festival for 22 years and for the last 19 years, she’s been at the helm of Leadership Northeast (LNE). Nocito has announced her retirement effective on July 15.

The next crop of future leaders took the stage at the F.M. Kirby Center to be honored for the work they’ve put in over the last year, as the Junior Leadership Northeast Class of 2022 officially graduated from the program on Wednesday evening.

Leadership Northeast announced Stacey Kile, sales operations manager with Geisinger Health Plan, will be awarded the 2022 Distinguished Leadership Award at the 41st annual dinner and graduation at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Woodlands Resort, Plains Twp. The event celebrates Leadership Northeast’s graduating Class of 2022 and welcomes the incoming Class of 2023.

The Leadership Northeast Board of Directors announced that Executive Director Lori Nocito will retire in July. Nocito has been the Executive Director of Leadership Northeast (LNE), formerly Leadership Wilkes-Barre, for 19 years.

The 43 members who make up Leadership Northeast’s class of 2022 are working on six projects to help community organizations.

Leadership Northeast is raising money to give the shelter an entirely new kitchen calling it “kitchen impossible.”
